Lead Generation Playbook

Find people actively looking for what you sell and convert them before your competitors see the post.

The lead generation workflow is the highest-value use case for most WireTrap customers. The goal: find posts from people who are expressing a need your product solves, and reach out within hours — not days.

Step 1 — Write a precise Brief

Include specific pain points in your ICP, not just demographics. "Freelancers who hate chasing invoices" scores posts better than "small business owners". Add 3–5 example posts that represent your best leads, with a note explaining why each one is valuable.

Step 2 — Set up intent-targeted monitors

Step 3 — Filter your Feed to leads only

Set Intent to Seeking agency + Purchase signal. Set Min score to 70. Sort by Top score. This is your daily outreach list.

Step 4 — Set an alert

Add a Telegram alert with threshold 80+, intent filter: Seeking agency + Purchase signal. You'll be notified within 30 minutes of a hot lead posting — while competitors aren't even aware yet.

Step 5 — Engage

Save the lead (S key). Click Draft DM for an AI-generated first message in your voice. Review, copy, send on X. Mark as Contacted in Saved Leads. Follow up in a few days if no reply.

TipSpeed matters. A post asking for agency recommendations on X gets 10–15 replies in the first 2 hours. Being first — and sounding like a human — dramatically increases response rate.
